VW Mico's blog posted a review of the 2011 VW Touareg first drive. http://vwmico.com/2010/11/22/2011-touareg-hybrid/

He did mention that you can feel the difference in the regenerative braking and that you can hear the electric motor making a generator type sound when the car is slowing down. According to Mico, only about 190 dealers have signed up to sell hybrids! Mico also mentions something I noticed on VW's site when checking out their online Touareg configurator.

    The regular warranty is:
3-year/36,000-mile (whichever occurs first) New Vehicle Limited Warranty
3-year/36,000-mile (whichever occurs first) Roadside Assistanceā€
3 year/36,000 mile (whichever occurs first) No-Charge Scheduled Carefree Maintenance Program
All touareg for 2011 have a 10-year/100,000-mile (whichever occurs first) Powertrain Limited Warranty.

The Jetta TDI only has a 5 year/60,000 mile powertrain limited warranty. It will be interesting to see if the 2012 Jetta hybrid has the 5 year/60k or 10 year/100k powertrain warranty.

I wonder if dealers selling/servicing the Jetta Hybrid will now be able to service the Touareg Hybrid?

Were they not able to service the Touareg hybrid before?
